Gambling is when you buy a lottery ticket and hope. No doubt it serves a good purpose as in “taxing the poor”, but it is not the business of this web-site, which is making money on the basis of informed and non-emotional analysis using EW and other objective insights.  From the first recommendation at about $50  (this site was not yet operational at the time) we are up $20 having hit $70, the sell target. That is 40% in a few weeks and above the 30% suggested as a generic exit point. In this case, given the pattern in question, it is like shooting fish in a barrel so there was no need to be overly cautious. If you are brave you can hold on for $75 but I do not recommend that.

     By the way, the $75 target does not imply that the stock cannot go higher or much higher. All it means is that up to there is almost a certainty, beyond is a gamble .

So perhaps RIM is cheap, at least according to some measures, still I would exit at about $70. This is a reasonable volatile stock and it pays to just grab the sure part and not gamble on the rest.

Rim took it on the chin in the last year after, ofcourse, a beautiful 5 wave up-move into the clouds. See chart, enlrge by clicking on it.

Notice the nice 5 waves up and also the US$30 high preceding that. If this stock has another major leg up to go in the future it should not break that (about C$39) So when it reached $44 C it was a buy (I did not yet have this website at the time.) The pattern of the last leg down, a diagonal triangle in EW terms almost guarantees a return to its starting point. So far so good.

It is already up $20 from the low , or about 50% (makes up for Nova) but should go further to $72 and perhaps even higher. Personally I would not want to outstay my welcome and would run close to $70

Rim appears to have completed a diagonal, which would suggest a rapid move to about $78.49. This is tentative and should be played with options! Here is what the prototype looks like.

Clearly the ingredients are there for a 4th wave up to develop to the target. What is troublesome is that it should do so rapidly and so far it is more like slow motion.
